Weekly Wrap-Up: Sake Express, Renegade Craft Fair, and more! ~ Diane's Vintage Zest!

Weekly Wrap-Up: Sake Express, Renegade Craft Fair, and more!

Last weekend was so much fun, because I was REALLY looking forward to Renegade for the longest time.  At the last moment, I thought that I wouldn't be able to make it yet again... but luckily I did.  :) Let's get to the wrap-up!

Precap (Jump to):

I was stuck way out in the middle of nowhere (a.k.a. Sierra Madre) and dinner plans had changed.  So, we visited one of my favorite spots: The Oinkster!

Besides the awesome burgers, a pastrami sandwich, piggy fries, and an ube milkshake, we had this banana split cupcake!  To see more delicious photos and one of my favorite signs of all time, head over to The Episodic Eater.

On Friday, we went to Sake Express, a fundraiser held at the iconic  Union Station!

There was tons of sake, beer, and plum wine to try.  :)

And of course, lots of food including this pork belly and ramen below.

On Sunday, we went to Grand Park and made one wrong turn... and ended up in the middle of the So You Think You Can Dance celebration of National Dance Day!  I totally forgot, but it was fun to hang around for a few minutes and pretend to be a dancer.  :)

Then, I finally attended the Renegade Craft Festival.  Yay!  It was so much fun and I loved that it was right in the middle of downtown L.A.

So many makers to be seen!  I can't wait to highlight them on Shop Small Saturday Showcase!

Honestly, it was like creative overload.  :)

Later that night, we went to a housewarming party and bought a lovely wooden clock and a card from my old friend Warren Tales!

On our way to the party, I couldn't resist buying a few sweets from Fugetsu-Do since we serendipitously parked across the street and I missed out on their chocolate mochi the day before.

My eyes were popping out at all of the tasty treats!

Oh and yes, I was super excited about the chocolate mochi.  :)  Check out the rest on The Episodic Eater!

Basically, Sunday was a rest and catch-up day after all of the fun and food we had over the past few days.  Definitely needed!

This week, I am super excited about some plans that I have been looking forward to for a while.

Do you have any fun plans?
