The one on the very left is the first lanyard that I learned how to twist, instead of just making it a square/rectangle.
Of course, I started off with easy 2 x 2 square lanyards, which were usually very long.
THEN, I started making larger ones: 2 x 3 and 3 x 3. I liked the twisty ones better, once I learned how to make them.
Then I made HUGE fat ones! I think my thickest one was 8 x 8. :)
Later, I went on to making skinny ones with different designs.
I also used a stretchy lanyard material that I didn't like as much.
Here are a couple more interesting patterns, with the middle one looking like a snake!
Here are a couple of close-ups of the interesting patterns. First this one that has two intertwining colors.
And these ones that look like winding staircases!
Lastly, I made this one for keys, which is slightly adjustable. Cute!
Best of all, they all fit into an old-school pencil box that I probably used during middle school. :)
I hope you enjoyed this little trip down memory lane with me. :)
Did you make lanyards during summer?
